How It Goes

Sometimes things don’t last forever
but that’s just how it goes
one moment it’s a blooming flower
the next a dying rose. 
In life you’ll see the highest highs
but as well the lowest lows
like winter in Chicago
it’s sunny then it snows. 
It fills me up with happiness
it fills me up with woes
at times I can’t make sense of it
but that’s just how it goes…
